Nychem® 1561X604 Acylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene Latex

Nychem 1561X604 is one of our Medium Nitrile Emulsion offerings. This line features a combination of very good oil, grease and hydrocarbon resistance, toughness/resilience, and tear and abrasion resistance. Toughness, abrasion resistance and chemical resistance can be further enhanced though either vulcanization or by adding external crosslinking agents such as melamines, epoxies, phenolics or metal complexes.

Nychem 1561X604 is a butadiene-acrylonitrile-styrene terpolymer designed to optimize strength, abrasion resistance, chemical resistance and other performance characteristics in paper saturation and textile coating applications. Tensile strength is greatly enhanced through the use of this product, which also provides low foaming, 400 – 600% elongation, high surface tension, and superior resistance to abrasion, water, rewetting, oil, grease and hydrocarbons. Because Nychem 1561X604 utilizes a vulcanizable resin, there is also an opportunity to tailor the product for even further toughness.
