Nychem® 1562X117

Nychem® 1562X117 Nitrile-Butadiene Latex

Nychem 1562X117 is one of our Medium Nitrile Emulsion offerings. This line features a combination of very good oil, grease and hydrocarbon resistance, toughness/resilience, and tear and abrasion resistance. Toughness, abrasion resistance and chemical resistance can be further enhanced though either vulcanization or by adding external crosslinking agents such as melamines, epoxies, phenolics or metal complexes. Nychem 1562X117 is a noncarboxylated butadiene acrylonitrile copolymer latex that is stabilized with natural surfactants so it exhibits excellent water and alkali resistance and, if desired, can be easily destabilized. Its small particle size promotes fast drying and fast penetration and has high surface tension which gives good resistance to rewetting, and is compatible with phenolic dispersions. It is approved for use under FDA regulations 175.105 (adhesives) and 177.2600 (rubber articles). Common application is friction paper.
