Nychem® 1562X160 Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene Latex
Nychem 1562X160 is one of our Specialty Emulsion offerings. It is a noncarboxylated acrylonitrile butadiene styrene polymer latex with a medium nitrile content featuring a balance of very good resistance to both polar and nonpolar solvents. Nychem 1562X160 also possesses very good toughness/resilience, and tear and abrasion resistance. Toughness, abrasion resistance and chemical resistance can be further enhanced though either vulcanization or by adding external crosslinking agents such as melamines, epoxies, phenolics or metal complexes. Nychem 1562X160 is stabilized with low/no surfactant so it has high surface tension which gives good resistance to rewetting, good water resistance and low foaming. Common application is gasketing.
