Nychem® 1578X1 Carboxylated Acylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene Latex
Nychem 1578X1 is one of our Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene Emulsion offerings. This line offers a balance of very good resistance to both polar and nonpolar solvents. Nychem 1578X1 also possesses very good toughness/resilience, and tear and abrasion resistance. Toughness, abrasion resistance and chemical resistance can be further enhanced though either vulcanization or by adding external crosslinking agents such as melamines, epoxies, phenolics or metal complexes. Nychem 1578X1 is a reactive carboxylated acrylonitrile butadiene styrene polymer latex that is stabilized with synthetic surfactants so it exhibits superior mechanical stability. It is a very firm and durable polymer with excellent film clarity and gloss. Common applications include friction paper, paper coating, nonwoven binders, adhesives and textile coatings.
