Polyfunctional aziridine (PFAZ) is a common choice due to its efficacy and economy, but it has been linked to mutagenicity, as well as relatively short dwell times in water as a result of decomposition. A tetrafunctional epoxy modifier, ERISYS® GA-240, is a safer, non-mutagenic alternative that can serve as a drop-in replacement in formulations such as adhesives and coatings.
